Acceptable Use Policy

Rules protecting TrustCall users and networks from unlawful calling, fraud, artificial traffic and abuse.

Effective date:

Last updated:

1. Purpose

This Policy protects people, customers and interconnected networks using TrustCall cloud PBX, phone-number and calling services. It applies to customers, their users and integrations, alongside the Terms of Service and applicable carrier conditions.

2. Lawful Use

Comply with applicable telecommunications, KYC, numbering, privacy, data protection, consumer-protection, anti-spam and telemarketing rules. Obtain permissions required for your intended destinations and use cases. Availability of a technical feature is not legal authorization to use it.

3. Prohibited Activities

Do not use the Services to commit, facilitate or conceal illegal, harmful or deceptive activity. The examples below are not exhaustive. Restrictions can apply even where traffic remains within a plan's included allowance.

4. Fraud and Scams

Fraudulent payment activity, deceptive sales calls, account takeovers, premium-rate scams, misrepresentation of products or services, and attempts to obtain money or sensitive information through deception are prohibited.

5. Phishing, Impersonation and Identity Theft

Do not impersonate another person, business, authority or support service to mislead recipients. Do not solicit credentials through phishing, use stolen identities or submit false account or KYC documents.

6. Harassment and Threats

Do not place threatening, abusive or harassing calls or knowingly facilitate stalking, intimidation or exploitation. Repeated unwanted contact must stop where required by law or a recipient's valid request.

7. Illegal Telemarketing and Spam

Do not conduct illegal telemarketing, spam campaigns, unlawful robocalling or unsolicited bulk calling where prohibited. Observe applicable consent, disclosure, calling-hour, identification, suppression and do-not-call requirements.

8. Illegal Call Recording

Recording, intercepting or distributing communications without required authority or consent is prohibited. Customers must determine and meet applicable notice and recording-consent requirements for all relevant participants and locations.

9. Caller ID Spoofing or Manipulation

Do not use misleading, unauthorized or manipulated caller identification where prohibited, or to defraud, impersonate, evade blocking or hide the source of abusive calls. Use numbers and caller identities you are entitled to use.

10. Artificial Traffic and Traffic Pumping

Artificially generated calls, traffic pumping, revenue-sharing abuse, manufactured answer/minute activity and deliberately inflated usage are prohibited. Unlimited plans are for normal business communication, not unlimited automated or abusive traffic. "Unlimited" means up to 2,500 minutes per billing month under the applicable fair-use allowance, unless a customer's order, subscription, or separate service agreement states otherwise.

11. PBX and Account Abuse

Do not compromise extensions, share access outside authorized arrangements, exploit insecure PBX configurations or use stolen SIP credentials. Do not create accounts to bypass suspension, verification, payment obligations or fair-use restrictions.

12. Circumvention of Carrier Restrictions

Do not route traffic through alternate accounts, identities or destinations to evade carrier blocks, geographic limits, numbering rules or enforcement. Repackaging prohibited traffic does not make it permitted.

13. Unauthorized Telecom Access

Unauthorized use of telecom systems, toll fraud, credential attacks, interception and attempts to obtain services without permission or payment are prohibited.

14. Malware and Malicious Activity

Do not distribute malware, exploit vulnerabilities without authorization, disrupt signaling/media services, overload infrastructure or interfere with another customer's service. Security research requires an agreed, lawful scope.

15. Privacy Violations

Do not collect, disclose, sell or misuse personal information obtained through the Services unlawfully. Do not use recordings, caller information or CDRs for unauthorized surveillance, profiling or exposure of private information.

17. Automated Calling

Automation must be lawful and supported by the applicable plan and carrier. An Unlimited allowance is not authorization for bulk dialers, prerecorded campaigns or other automated traffic. Obtain written clarification where a use case is uncertain.

18. Traffic Quality

Operate reasonable dialing practices and address unusual failed calls, complaints, abandoned calls or traffic patterns that harm recipients or network quality. We may ask for use-case information and corrective action, without promising a particular detection capability.

19. Monitoring and Abuse Detection

We may review relevant technical events, usage patterns, CDRs and reports for security, fraud prevention, compliance and service protection. Reviews are subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy. This is not a claim of universal content monitoring or guaranteed abuse detection.

20. Enforcement

We may investigate suspicious traffic, request additional information, restrict destinations, suspend calling, suspend numbers or accounts, or terminate Services. We may report activity where legally required. Urgent measures may precede notice; contact [Abuse Email] to provide information or request review of an enforcement decision.

21. Customer Responsibility

You must communicate these rules to authorized users, secure your PBX and credentials, supervise integrations and promptly address misuse. Contracting with a third-party dialer or agent does not remove your responsibilities.

22. Abuse Reporting

Report suspected misuse to [Abuse Email]. Include relevant numbers, timestamps with time zone, a description and available evidence. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information, and only provide recordings you are authorized to share. This channel is not an emergency service.

23. Changes to AUP

We may update this Policy for new abuse patterns, operational needs or legal/carrier requirements. Additional notice will be provided where required. Contact [Support Email] for questions about permitted use.
